Last month it was reported in the Turkish press that Everton could use Davy Klaassen in a possible deal to sign Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida.
Klaassen has failed to make an impact since arriving at Goodison Park last summer and may need to move on. The Dutchman has been linked with Besiktas in this transfer window, and this has led to inevitable claims of him being involved in a Vida deal.
Fanatik say Everton are still considering using Klaassen in a deal to sign Vida.
It’s claimed the Premier League side have offered Besiktas €10m and the Netherlands international to sign the Croatian. The Turkish giants are now considering this offer from Everton and should give an answer by the end of next week.
These aren’t the first claims Everton have made an offer for Vida, with differing amounts being reported in the Turkish media. In recent days there have reports of €16m and €18m bids from the Merseyside club, without any mention of Klaassen being involved in the deal, and then a separate claims of a straight swap.
Domagoj Vida for €10m and Davy Klaassen sounds like a terrible transfer deal, which would make one wonder if Everton have really offered it directly or whether an agent is trying to build a deal.
