Everton need €20m if they wish to sign Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe from Eintracht Frankfurt before the end of the window.
That’s according to BILD, who report the German side still haven’t received an offer for the player but know Everton and Napoli are interested.
They explain that interest from the Italian side ‘spilled over’ from Italy yesterday. Napoli are believed to have put out feelers for Frankfurt’s midfielder.
According to BILD’s information, Eintracht are yet to receive any offers. The Frenchman can leave if they receive a good offer, though.
The German side are looking for at least €20m to sanction a departure, which it seems nobody has offered as yet. Everton ‘would also like to sign him’.
Interestingly, if he were to go to Napoli, he would be the second Eintracht player to do so after Jesper Lindstrøm. He ended up at Everton on loan this summer after a miserable first year in Italy.
Naples or Everton is now the big question for Ebimbe, who is of interest to both. It’s debatable whether Everton would get anywhere near that €20m fee, though.
They don’t have that kind of money available at this point and if they do, it’s likely they’d want to spend it elsewhere.
