Everton will need to spend at least €12-13m if they wish to revive their interest in defender Rodrigo Becao in January.
That’s according to Tuttosport, who say the Brazilian is also being targeted by Inter Milan as they consider changes in their own defence.
They explain that Inter were thinking of revolutionising their defence in the summer and that remains the plan, with a player who can ‘flank’ the defence a priority.
Becao is one of those they have evaluated, the Brazilian having impressed at Udinese since a €2m move in 2019.
He ‘seemed destined’ to leave in the summer when Torino, Everton and Fenerbahce had ‘thought of him’ but no one came close to the €10m that was being asked for.
His value has now risen to €12-13m thanks to an ‘excellent’ start to the season, but those figures are ‘not impossible’ for his suitors to meet should they wish to do so.
The defender is ‘very much liked’ by Inter, who see him both as a right back and a centre-back depending on which is required.
They’re now seemingly considering a move in January, so Everton will need to move quickly if their interest from the summer is still as strong as has been suggested.
