Everton’s chances of signing Allan from Napoli this summer appear to be growing, with it now claimed a deal is ‘possible and probable’.
The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a move to Goodison Park for several months, with the Blues having seemingly chased him throughout the January transfer window.
A move never came off, but their interest has not waned, with numerous reports indicating that Carlo Ancelotti is keen on a reunion with the midfielder he worked alongside at Napoli.
A deal has certainly not looked unlikely either, with it widely believed Allan will be leaving this summer after his relationship with Napoli deteriorated over the last year.
And now, according to Il Napoli Online, a deal is edging closer, with them explaining Everton are ‘pretenders’ for his signature and a departure from the Serie A club is ‘possible and probable’.
They explain that the club are eyeing up potential replacements should he leave, with Jordan Veretout a likely candidate.
While the website doesn’t offer whether Everton have made a move or anything of that nature, it’s certainly a more positive slant on what’s been offered recently.
What’s becoming clearer and clearer is that Allan is very much on the exit ramp, and if Everton do want him, they need to try and find a deal that suits everyone.
Of course, working with Aurelio de Laurentiis is no easy feat, and he is sure to try and eke out as much money as possible before letting the Brazilian move.
