Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Daichi Kamada is ‘on the list’ at Everton, but he isn’t interested in the switch.
That’s according to BILD, who say that it would take a ‘mega transfer offer’ to make the German club accept a sale.
Everton are known to be on the hunt for an attacking midfielder in the January transfer window, with Frank Lampard keen to add an option in that area after letting Dele Alli go in the summer and missing out on Mohamed Kudus.
Kamada has been in good form for Frankfurt, scoring four times in the Bundesliga already in six appearances and that has reportedly attracted Everton’s interest.
BILD cover that but say, unfortunately for the Toffees, a move to Goodison Park is ‘out of the question’ for the midfielder.
Similarly, Eintracht Frankfurt are only interested in extending the player’s contract, which expires next summer after coach Oliver Glasner prevented a move to Benfica in the summer.
The Japanese midfielder is a fan of the coach and believes he is making him a better player and that gives the Bundesliga side hope of keeping him.
Only a ‘mega transfer offer’ from the likes of Everton could make Frankfurt ‘weak’, with sporting director Markus Krösche stating “for us, it is not a goal to give away key players in the winter break. We want to keep our key players.”
