Just when you thought that Dele Alli’s time at Besiktas couldn’t get any worse, it simply does, much to the sadness of Everton fans around the country, as he is now out of action because of injury.

The once Tottenham star moved to Goodison Park in hope of getting his career back on track, which he wasn’t able to do, and the Toffees agreed to send him to Turkey to get him to play and perhaps turn things around for himself.

That didn’t happen either, as he quickly fell out of favour away from Everton, and it was recently reported that he was out of the squad altogether.

He then wasn’t contactable for a brief period, which manager Senol Gunes told the press earlier this week, before it was claimed he would return to training.

Well, that isn’t going to happen either, as the player is again injured, as reported by Turkish journalist Gökmen Özcan, who took to Twitter to reveal the England international ‘did not go to Besiktas’s training today due to suspicion of a muscle tear’.

How long Alli will be out for has yet to be determined, with ‘final checks’ set to take place to figure out whether the Everton man will be able to return in the near future.

Either way, this isn’t great news for the Toffees, the player or Besiktas in what has quickly become a rather sad state of affairs.
