Everton defender Ben Godfrey has completed his medical tests with Atalanta and has now arrived at the club to sign his contract with them.
That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb, who say the Everton defender has now arrived in Zingonia to finalise his move to the Italian club.
Reports earlier today explained how Godfrey had flown from England this morning after Atalanta agreed a €10m plus €2m in bonuses deal with Everton for him to make the move this summer.
He was filmed arriving at the airport and being collected by Atalanta officials, before then travelling to undertake his required medical tests ahead of completing the move.
TMW now report that those tests have been completed and the defender has now arrived at the Bortolotti Sports Centre to sign his contract with Atalanta and formally complete his transfer from Everton.
The deal between the two sides has been rapidly agreed over the last 48 hours, with the Toffees seemingly happy to let Godfrey go as he will be in the final year of his contract from July.
Reports had indicated he had turned down a proposal from Everton to renew that deal and so it seems a deal has now been wrapped up, with the income also set to aid the Blues efforts to be PSR compliant before the end of the month.
