It seems Everton will still make ‘one last attempt’ to sign El Bilal Touré from UD Almeria.
In the past few days, several reports from Italy and Spain have been claiming that Atalanta are closing in on the transfer, as they’re matching the La Liga side’s request.
Now as Spanish journalist Paco Gregorio speaks about this competition on Twitter, he claims that even though it’s ‘very likely’ Touré’s move to Italy will be done today, there’s still a possibility that Everton would get in the middle of that.
It’s claimed that the Toffees still want him signed, and with no other players involved in their offer, their only chance is to ‘pay more’ than Atalanta.
It’s once again highlighted that the Serie A side already have an agreement for the player, so that would be Everton actually hijacking the move that was practically sorted.
Gregorio’s story doesn’t say how much Atalanta are about to pay and how much the Toffees would need to offer.
Recent reports from the Spanish media said the Italian club are taking him for €33m.
