On July 10th, L’Arena reported Everton are ready to buy Jackson Tchatchoua this summer. It was also suggested Hellas Verona would find it difficult to refuse a tempting offer from Sean Dyche’s side.
Three days later, the same outlet stated the Toffees seem to be serious in their pursuit of the 22-year-old.
Last Tuesday, InterLive.it reported the Serie A side are waiting to receive an offer for the Everton target.
TuttoMercatoWeb now claim the Italian club have received a bid from the Premier League side for the right-back.
It’s explained that Everton offered €8m plus €2m bonuses, and that has been rejected by Hellas Verona. The report claims they are requesting the fixed fee be raised by €2m, to let the Cameroon international leave this summer.
There’s a ‘distance of €2m’ between the two clubs, and TMW insist the Merseyside club could make an improved bid to meet Hellas Verona’s request of €10m plus €2m bonuses.
Hellas Verona initially signed Tchatchoua on loan from Belgian side Charleroi and made his stay permanent last month. They can make some quick profit from his sale to Everton in this window.
