Everton are interested in Sassuolo fullback Rogério, according to reports from the Italian media.
Website TuttoMercatoWeb writes that the Toffees have ‘requested information’ for the 25-year-old,
Everton are said to be looking for a left-back next season, and that seems to be the first move they have made for the Brazilian.
For now, there’s no information on how much Sassuolo would demand for the sale, or even if the Toffees are keen on submitting a bid for his signing.
Rogério joined the club on a €7m move from Juventus back in 2019, and became a very important player for the green side since then.
Since his contract with Sassuolo expires next year, that may be an advantage Everton will have in the talks to take him out of the Serie A side. Right now, he’s valued by Transfermarkt at €5.5m.
Last season, Everton had Vitaliy Mykolenko as. their main player in the position, with him making 36 appearances.
The Toffees had to go after other solutions for that role, because Ruben Vinagre, who was his natural backup, only made four games and now returned to Sporting.
