On January 15th, FcInterNews explained that Everton have conducted polls for Matías Vecino and Inter Milan no longer consider him non-transferable.

Earlier today, we covered claims made by Corriere Dello Sport that the Toffees are keen on signing the midfielder.

It was also suggested the Serie A side are looking for €20m from his sale in the winter market.

Another Italian outlet Calciomercato now brings the latest update and they state the Merseyside club are the ‘most interested’ in the 28-year-old. He was also offered to Tottenham Hotspur as part of the deal for Christian Eriksen.

Carlo Ancelotti wants the Premier League side to strengthen midfield this month and he’s looking for a player with the qualities Vecino has.

According to the report, Everton made ‘first contact’ yesterday and his agent, Alessandro Lucci has arrived at Inter’s offices to discuss Vecino’s ‘eventual farewell’ from San Siro.

FCInterNews have just published their own take on the agent meeting, and they say Inter’s idea is to sell Vecino for €20m and use that money to sign Eriksen.

Along with Everton, Sevilla and Fiorentina are also credited with interest.
