Ronaldo Koeman wants to bring William Carvalho to Everton, according to reports fromthe Portuguese press.

Portuguese newspaper Record says the Toffees have been keeping an eye on the midfielder for a while, and after his great Euro, the interest has only increased.

Everton have reportedly already learned Carvalho’s contractual conditions, which means that despite his €45m release clause, any bids bigger than €35m force Sporting to negotiate over him.

But this is said to be too much for the Toffees, as the English club would only want to spend up to €20m on the 24-year-old.

Record claims that Everton haven’t shown a formal offer for the midfielder yet, and despite the high value, Carvalho won’t be kicked off Koeman’s wish-list.

This €20m limit should become an official bid soon in the next few weeks, so that will be time to see if Sporting will accept to make business or not.

Carvalho didn’t have a great season in 2015/16 and was said to be negotiable by the Portuguese papers before the Euros. However, he made a great tournament with the national team, and we reckon it would be very unlikely for Sporting to sell him for that amount.
