Everton linked with Torino forward Andrea Belotti
Everton will today send a scout to the game between Torino and Crotone, with reports they are tracking Torino’s Daniele Baselli and Andrea Belotti.
TMW have revealed Everton will be present at the Serie A game today to get a lowdown on two Torino players. It’s been reported their main focus will be Andrea Belotti, who has impressed for the Serie A this season and has already been linked with a €35m move to the Premier League with Arsenal.
The 22-year-old forward has scored 20 league goals in 45 appearances since making his debut for Torino, and he broke into the Italy side this year.
The Italian football outlet also believe Everton could be looking at his Torino teammate Baselli as well. The midfielder has been linked with a move to England by his agent in recent weeks. Baselli singed for Torino last year, and the 24 year old has become a regular in the team since his arrival.
Belotti will have impressed the Everton official after scoring two goals in the 2-0 victory over Crotone, a win which puts the Turin club 7th in the table. The forward now has 10 goals in 12 games this season with all those coming in the league.
Arsenal’s interest in Belotti, as it was claimed Arsene Wenger had been ready to spend €35m on the Torino star.
Obviously that wasn’t the end of it. Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport on Thursday reiterate Arsenal’s interest in the forward, who has 8 goals and 4 assists to his name this season.
Belotti Gazzetta dello Sport November 17th Gazzetta say Arsenal came up with the ‘richest offer’ of €35m for Belotti in the summer, but there was little time to consider the deal.
The Serie A club would’ve weakened their own team, if they’d had sold Belotti to Arsenal, given it was so late in the transfer window.
