As Everton, Leicester City and Nottingham Forest continue to be linked to Benfica midfielder Florentino Luís, the Portuguese media shares some optimistic news about a potential transfer.
Even though the 24-year-old is now the athlete with most time in the Eagles’ squad, newspaper Jornal de Notícias today shares a story highlighting his ‘uncertain’ future at the club.
It’s said there’s no certainty he’d have a place in the starting team this season, and that’s where Everton, Leicester City and Nottingham Forest are brought in.
The newspaper writes that Florentino ‘does not close doors’ to potential offers, while Benfica told the market they’d like at least €30m for his sale.
The story says that Everton, Leicester City and Nottingham Forest ‘continue to follow’ the midfielder after having approached him and even made concrete offers last season.
Benfica rejected those approaches back then, but since they are reinforcing their midfield this summer, there’s a bigger chance for a deal this time.
It’s now up to the English clubs to try their luck with new bids. Right now, he’s valued by Transfermarkt at €20m.
