Everton are in the picture to sign Chelsea’s Lesley Ugochukwu this summer.

That’s according to Foot Mercato, who say Everton are one of the three English clubs to be have shown interest in the midfielder. The details of the other two teams aren’t mentioned.

As well as Everton, clubs from abroad, including one from the Ligue 1, are also looking at the Chelsea player.

The Blues signed the 20-year-old from Stade Rennais in August 2023 and offered him a deal until 2030, with an option for another year. He clocked in 567 minutes from 15 matches in his debut season at Chelsea.

Ugochukwu’s game time was mainly restricted by a hamstring injury, which kept him out of action for close to five months, before regaining full fitness in May.

It’s claimed Enzo Maresca’s side want to send the France U21 international out on loan next season. The player is also in favour of this and he wants to join another Premier League side.

Chelsea and Ugochukwu’s stance should certainly please Sean Dyche’s side and the two other unnamed Premier League sides to sign him on a favourable deal in this window.
