Everton are back being involved in the Bruno Fernandes rumours. The Toffees get a mention from newspaper Record today, as they would be interested in the midfielder along with Atletico Madrid and Liverpool.

Record’s focus in this story is Atletico. That’s because the club have reportedly watched the player in Sporting’s game against Villarreal this week.

Then when speaking of the other ‘sharks’ who want the 24-year-old, Record says Everton and Liverpool are among them as well.

Everton had already been linked to the player in January, when it was claimed that the possibility of joining the Toffees could not ‘seduce’ the player.

Although the rumours around Fernandes have been out daily, his situation at Sporting hasn’t changed a bit so far. He’s a very important player for the team, and it will be expensive to take him out of Lisbon.

With 22 goals and 11 assists this season, Bruno Fernandes is currently protected by a €100m release clause. We’ve seen mixed claims of how much Sporting would demand in case of a transfer, but with the player’s current form, it’s safe to say they would ask for at least €80m.

Back on Tuesday, Fernandes said he doesn’t want to leave know as he wants to win more than ‘two league cups’ at the club.
