Everton recently announced the signing of Maarten Stekelenburg from Fulham, but the Toffees are estill being linked with other goalkeepers after the departure of Tim Howard.

According to Spanish website Deporte Valenciano, Everton are interested in signing Brazilian goalkeeper Diego Alves.

The Valencia goalkeeper could be leaving this summer, as he is not guaranteed playing time at the Spanish club.

Valencia want to give young goalkeepers Mathew Ryan and Jaume a chance next season, and Alves could be forced to look for a new club.

Deporte Valenciano say Ronald Koeman showed interest in Alves a week ago, and the player could decide his future soon.

Alves is currently on his holidays, after participating in the Copa Americas.

Alves arriving at Everton or not could depend on how Ronald Koeman sees his goalkeepers next season, and whether Stekelenburg is first choice or back-up.
