Llorente is a big name in Spain at the minute, and not just because of the man swapping Real Madrid for Atletico Madrid.

Marcos Llorente has completed his move to the Wanda Metropolitano but his namesake, Diego Llorente, could be on the move too.

The Real Sociedad centre back is attracting interest from the Premier League and notably Everton.

Earlier this week we covered a story from Noticias De Gipuzkoa that the club were ‘expecting’ a bid from the Toffees this summer.

The newspaper made it clear that should an offer come in, they would be more than willing to sell the 25-year-old.

Well, now AS have picked up on it and added some details of their own. According to them, no official offers have arrived yet, but Everton have indeed shown ‘serious interest’.

The say Llorente has a €50m release clause, but as far as they’re concerned, he can be signed for half of that (€25m). That would not only allow La Real to solve their defensive problems but also leave enough over to boost the coffers.

The club actually consider Llorente, a valuable player but, such is their financial situation, they wouldn’t turn down a decent offer, and therefore they aren’t refusing to listen to them.

The player himself isn’t keen on leaving and has said as much more than once. AS says he believes he’s settled at the club and ‘found the stability he needed’. However, if a bid comes in from anywhere, it seems he won’t have much choice on the matter.
