Last week’s edition of SportBild reported that Everton, Arsenal, West Ham and Burnley are all interested in Fortuna Düsseldorf’s Benito Raman.
This week’s edition of the same magazine drops the latter two, and just references interest from the Toffees and Gunners.
SportBild explain that Fortuna’s ‘wonder team’ is set to be dismantled this summer, and Raman is one of those expected to leave. It’s thought England could be the destination, but Borussia Monchengladbach is also thought to be a possibility with the club having to replace Thorgan Hazard.
The 24 year old has been playing all over the attack for Fortuna this season, showing he’s very flexible in position. He’s scored ten goals and made three assists, and whilst those statistics aren’t the most exciting, it’s worth noting he’s playing for a team which has only scored 39 Bundesliga goals all season.
Just like last week, it’s reported the German club would be looking for something around €15m for their player.
Everton seems more realistic than Arsenal for the player, but the Toffees may also feel they can do better. They already own Henry Onyekuru, who is also a flexible attacker, and he’ll have a better chance of a work permit this summer than he has previously.
