Everton’s pursuit for Udinese defender Rodrigo Becão continues to get big coverage in the local media.
The latest update on this chase is today brought by Tutto Udinese, who features a story claiming the Toffees are ‘insisting’ on the signing.
Since Becão is still to find an agreement with the Serie A side to renew his contract, which expires in 2024, the club have now set a price to let in go in January, which is said to be of €20m.
That’s considered to be an amount which Everton ‘could put on the plate’, and that’s why Udinese are already looking for potential replacements in the market.
Despite the potential competition from Napoli for Becão, Tutto Udinese now claims the Azzurri are actually not that interested in spending much in the player, so the Goodison Park side can offer ‘much more’ than them.
Udinese will only be selling the defender ‘if the right offer arrives’, so that will only depend on Everton.
Their chase had already been reported in the local media this week, and the Toffees now seem to stand as the favourites for the signing.
