Everton are still considered a candidate for Eintracht Frankfurt’s Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe but are yet to open concrete negotiations for the midfielder.

That’s according to Frankfurter Rundschau, who cover what could happen at Frankfurt in the final days of the window.

The newspaper explains that the German club still have players that they’d like to move on and there is hope they will do so by Friday’s deadline.

Dina Ebimbe is at the top of that list as the 23-year-old is not a part of their plans and was not in the squad for the clash against Borussia Dortmund.

Sports director Markus Krösche blamed that on poor training performance and the reality is that the player has not lived up to his potential. Thus, Frankfurt are happy to move him on.

Everton are still considered a potential buyer for him and have been linked with a move over the last few weeks. However, they’re yet to open any concrete negotiations.

Perhaps that is because they are currently focusing their efforts on other positions, or simply don’t have any money left to get a deal done.

Frankfurt don’t have such a negative view on the matter it seems, with the belief that Everton are someone to keep an eye on when it comes to Dina Ebimbe.
