Everton have turned their attention back to AS Roma midfielder Edoardo Bove, with the Italian side keen to move him on.
That’s according to Gianluca di Marzio, who reports that Everton have ‘set their sights’ on the midfielder.
He explains that Roma are continuing to work on the transfer market, with them working on outgoings as well as incomings.
Bove is one of those who could be on the way and Everton ‘have their eyes’ on him at this moment in time.
There’s no mention of the type of deal Everton are looking at for now, just that their interest in Bove remains.
That’s not surprising as they still haven’t replaced Amadou Onana and are short on options in midfield because of his move to Aston Villa.
Bove is a name that was presented as an option earlier in the window, particularly when Roma owner’s the Friedkin Group looked likely to be buying the Toffees and setting up a multi-club model.
He’s not been mentioned since that takeover deal collapsed but now appears to be back on the table, despite Sean Dyche’s insistence Everton’s business may now be done.
