It’s fair to say the past two years have not been great for Sandro Ramirez at Everton.

After arriving at the club following a superb season at Malaga, there was hope that he’d prove to be a bargain signing for the Blues.

Instead, he managed one goal during six months at Goodison Park and was shipped off to Sevilla in January 2018.

He failed to impress back in La Liga, going goalless through his whole time in Seville. He hoped to reignite his career with a year loan at Real Sociedad this season but instead failed to score in 23 games in all competitions.

Everton are keen to move him on this summer as Marcel Brands continues to overhaul the squad and it seems the Dutchman has found a suitor.

Marina Marcos, a journalist for Valladolid TV show La 8 Valladolid, claims that the Spanish forward is ‘closer and closer’ to joining Real Valladolid this summer.

At present, there’s no suggestion of whether the deal would be a permanent one or a loan deal, although it’s likely the latter given the big wages Sandro is reportedly earning at Goodison.

Everton would be more than happy to move him on, with the Blues keen to bring the wage bill down and clear the deadwood this summer.

Sandro is a player who’s an issue on both fronts and moving him on again, even temporarily, is a solution that suits all parties.
