While the same Solomon Rondon may induce a horrible, skin crawling sensation for Everton fans, it seems it’s not the case for current club Pachuca.
TyC Sports cover the veteran striker today and how he’s absolutely rocking it with the Mexicans, after he added a hattrick to his growing account with them last night.
The 34-year-old joined them on a free transfer from River Plate in January this year, having only been with the Argentine side for a year after leaving Everton in January 2023.
He managed just three goals in 31 games for the Toffees and ten in 35 for River Plate but hasn’t let that hold him back since arriving in Mexico.
Instead, he’s been in the form of his life, bagging 13 goals and three assists in 16 games to date including a hattrick in the 5-0 win over Herediano in the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
It seems it’s all smiles in Pachuca, where he’s hit the ground running and is fully enjoying life after his difficult time in England and then Argentina.
Now we’re not sure that Everton or anyone else will be rushing to bring him back because of this upturn in form, but it does go to show that when things are grim at Goodison Park, they can always be brighter somewhere else.
