Saturday’s edition of Marca makes it clear that Barcelona must sell players first before the bringing making new additions.
This is because the La Liga winners need to balance the books before the end of this month, but the club are reluctant to give out a figure. Catalunya Radio stated the figure is €70m, but the Spanish newspaper claim it’s around €40m.
One of the players who could help the Blaugrana raise funds is Andre Gomes and the midfielder is attracting interest from Everton, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.
After struggling for two years at the Camp Nou, Ernesto Valevrde’s side allowed the Portugal international to spend the 2018/19 season on loan at Goodison Park.
Gomes has two more years left on his contract with Barcelona and Marca report the Spanish champions need a fee of €25m to give the green light for his sale.
With Barca needing to raise funds, there’s a feeling Gomes’ future could be sorted out before the end of June as Everton, Spurs and Manuel Pellegrini’s side continue to chase him.
