Everton have a draft agreement in place with Napoli to sign Jesper Lindstrom on loan next season, and there won’t be an obligation to buy him included in the deal.
That’s according to Calcio Napoli 24, relaying information from Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, who report that the forward is closer to moving to Everton this summer.
Lindstrom has emerged as a surprise target for Everton over the last week or so, with the Blues making their move as they look to further bolster an attack that was among the lowest scorers in the Premier League last season.
A deal appears to have been progressing at a steady pace, with it explained that Napoli coach Antonio Conte has sanctioned the exit after deciding Lindstrom is not in his plans moving forwards.
Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli now follow that up and explain the formula of the loan deal in place, which appears to be more beneficial to Everton than the Italians.
“Lindstrom-Everton? There is a draft agreement for an expensive loan with right of redemption, Napoli was aiming for the obligation but was unable to do so. Lyon was also interested in the player, but the Premier League has a different charm,” they are quoted as saying.
The question now is the values Napoli have managed to convince Everton on, or vice versa, with the ‘expensive loan’ certainly likely to be discussed in the coming days.
The Toffees did a similar deal for Arnaut Danjuma last season, although all hopes will be that Lindstrom enjoys himself on Merseyside far more than the Dutchman did.
