There are only a few days left of the transfer window, the winter opportunity to sign players ends on Tuesday at 11pm, which doesn’t give a great deal of time.
Everton have been one of the most active clubs during the current window, but there’s an expectation there could be another one coming in if Ronald Koeman can find an interesting deal.
Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport report on Saturday that, with AS Roma signing Clement Grenier from Lyon, on loan with a €3.5m buying option, Leandro Paredes could be on the market.
The 22 Argentine midfielder has been repeatedly linked with a Premier League move, and Everton are credited with interest by Gazzetta.
Roma rate Paredes highly but they’d like to raise funds for other players, and getting Grenier would cover, to some extent, for losing Paredes.
This is a quality option so late in a January window, and it’s doable if Gazzetta are to be believed.
