Remember that time in January when AS Roma were really interested in Moise Kean and there was continuous talk of a loan six months after his €28m arrival at Everton from Juventus?
Well, that hasn’t entirely gone away, especially now the Toffees are interested in one of the Italian club’s players: Alessandro Florenzi.
Looking to bolster the right-back position at Goodison Park, Marcel Brands has turned his attention to two or three specific players among which is the Italy international.
Santiago Arias appears to be another, but with Kean of interest to Roma, there’s a deal to be done there.
The young forward hasn’t settled as well on Merseyside as first hoped, and there are now multiple echoes in Italy that he could return to Serie A.
We’ve already covered a couple of articles mentioning a surprise move back to Juventus, but Corriere dello Sport on Friday talk about the Roma option.
They say the two clubs are ‘trying to put together an exchange of loans between Florenzi and Kean’ after the Italians have ‘long asked for information’ about the striker.
It’s said Moise Kean ‘is looking for a chance of redemption’ and there’s a belief he could be an investment for Roma down the line.
We’ll have to see about that, but this deal sounds far more like one Everton would be likely to accept since they also benefit from it, compared to the two year loan with an obligation to buy Juventus are said to be thinking about.
