Everton have increased their offer for Galatasaray defender Davinson Sanchez to €20m as they look to push a deal over the line.
That’s according to Ajansspor, who say the Toffees continue to push but are short of the Turkish side’s €25m asking price for the defender.
They report that negotiations between the two sides continue this summer as Everton continue to show an interest in the Colombian defender.
The Blues have been named as suitors for him for months, with it claimed that they were pushing to try and secure his signature alongside other Premier League suitors.
A report earlier this month claimed that a bid had been made but was short of Galatasaray’s asking price so needed to be upped.
Ajansspor say that has now happened and Everton have increased their bid to €20m, but that is still too low as those in charge of the Turkish club want €25m. Negotiations are therefore continuing to see if a deal can be struck.
It seems Galatasaray want to make a big profit on Sanchez, who only arrived from Tottenham in a €9m deal last summer.
Whether Everton grant them that wish remains to be seen. Central defence is not exactly a priority right now in Sean Dyche’s squad and certainly not at €20m, which could be spent better elsewhere.
