There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Nottingham Forest and Everton remain interested in Beşiktaş forward Tammy Abraham.
The 28-year-old has been linked with a return to the Premier League and along with Forest and Everton, Aston Villa have been making attempts to sign him.
Sabah report on the latest developments regarding Abraham, as Beşiktaş look to cash in on him.
The Black Eagles have an obligation to purchase him from AS Roma for €13m after an initial €2m loan deal. There’s been speculation they will accept offers in the region of €20m.
According to the Turkish newspaper, Aston Villa have already made their move by tabling an offer of €18m. However, they say Nottingham Forest and Everton are ready to match this.
Both Sean Dyche and David Moyes will be looking to add to their attack in this window after their woes in front of goal. Their centre forwards have struggled for goals and Abraham’s experience could bring something different.
Nottingham Forest make their move
Only this week we covered reports that Nottingham Forest had made a move for the former Chelsea player and were ready to meet his personal terms. Despite this, a transfer to Villa Park looks to be his preferred choice at this stage.
Abraham enjoyed a successful loan spell with the Birmingham side during the 2018/19 season. He scored 26 goals in 46 goals before returning to Chelsea.
With Aston Villa in the Premier League title race and still in Europe, this gives the attacker the chance to fight for silverware. There is also the prospect of Champions League football next season with Villa currently lying in 3rd place in the table.
This season he’s scored 13 times in 26 appearances for The Black Eagles. Three of those goals have come over his past four league matches, including the victory over Keciorengucu on Thursday night.
