The managers of Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur are today linked to a job at AC Milan.
That’s reported by Italian newspaper La Reppublica (via Milan Live), who say the Rossoneri are considering replacing Stefano Pioli.
The club’s board are said to be worried about their current situation, and with the manager ‘in trouble’, they’re already considering some names for the position.
Tottenham’s Antonio Conte is said to be the first of them, since his future at the London side is ‘by no means certain’. His return to Italy is often rumoured by the press, and it’s said the chance has ‘grown’ since he recently expressed that desire in a press conference.
Then comes the alternative, which is Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi. It’s pointed out that he’s been doing a good job in charge of the Seagulls, but the problem would be his salary, as he’s set to make €5m net per year for the next four seasons.
The truth is that there’s a long way to go until Milan go after those managers, as a decision to sack Pioli hasn’t even been taken for now. Only then, should Tottenham and Brighton worry about losing their managers.
