According to a claim in the Dutch media, Ajax are in the ‘hunt’ for FC Utrecht star Zakaria Labyad.

The attacking midfielder has been linked with Leeds United in recent weeks.

Voetbal International report Labyad is a target for Ajax after being linked with the Dutch giants in the last window.

The 25 year old played under Ajax coach Erik ten Hag and recently told the Dutch media he would be interested in a move to the Amsterdam club.

Leeds United have reportedly been watching Labyad when checking up on Mateusz Klich, and have been impressed with the Morocco international.

Klich was loaned to FC Utrecht in the last transfer window after failing to make an impact since his arrival at Elland Road.

It would be an ambitious move by Leeds United to land the former PSV and Sporting midfielder, and despite recent claims he would snub a move to Ajax it seems he would be happy to remain in the Netherlands and have a reunion with Ten Hag.
