On Wednesday, Sky Deutschland journalist Patrick Berger reported West Ham United have a concrete interest in Borussia Dortmund star Niclas Füllkrug, and have held talks with his agents over a potential deal this summer.

Berger also stated the striker, who is on the radar of Atlético Madrid, AC Milan and VfB Stuttgart, is yet to make a decision over joining West Ham

Gianluca Di Marzio picks up on the story and then provides his own information on where the 31-year-old could play next season.

The Germany international starred for the Bundesliga side last season, managing 15 goals and 10 assists from 43 games, and impressed for his national team at Euro 2024.

At the start of last month, the Serie A side made contacts, but they won’t be able to sign him because Di Marzio says Füllkrug ‘will go to West Ham’. Therefore, Milan have shifted their focus to AS Roma’s Tammy Abraham to further strengthen their attack.

Another Italian journalist, Alfredo Pedullà, says Julen Lopetegui’s side are ‘closing in on’ the BVB player. He relays claims made in Germany about the Hammers and then adds that West Ham have ‘reached an agreement’ with Dortmund.

Füllkrug seems to be open to joining the London club, which is why Pedullà says his future would be in the Premier League.
