Even though Manchester United target Victor Osimhen is highly expected to leave Napoli this summer, that doesn’t mean the Serie A side will let him go without a fight.
Outlet Corriere Della Sera today features a piece explaining how the Italian club have ‘set the bar high’ and will not let him go for less than €150m.
The report claims this is a ‘take it or leave it’ situation, and there’s the feeling that this ‘right offer’ will arrive to Napoli at some point.
Manchester United’s interest in the striker is again highlighted, with Corriere Della Sera claiming Erik ten Hag sees Osimhen as the ‘last piece of a dream attack’ where he would be joining the likes of Marcus Rashford, Antony and Jadon Sancho.
The Red Devils just need to be aware of the huge competition for the signing, with the outlet also naming the likes of Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint Germain, but ‘the auction has just begun’, they say.
Meanwhile, some good news for Ten Hag’s side comes from Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, who comes up on Twitter to say Manchester United are one of the ‘most concrete’ options for Osimhen.
PSG are said to be ‘not the hottest’ alternative for the striker, while Bayern Munich can’t afford him.
At Manchester United, it’s said there’s an ‘internal race’ between Randal Kolo Muani and Osimhen, although the Italians seem to think the Nigerian is currently in the lead.
