It’s been a while since we covered Allan Saint-Maximin’s future, and that’s because not a lot has happened.

However, the fact there’s been no real movement doesn’t mean Premier League clubs have forgotten about the Nice forward. Far from it.

Nice-Matin on Wednesday look at the player’s situation, and name Newcastle, Crystal Palace and ‘especially’ Watford as those still interested in his services.

The winger has long been touted to be on the move this summer, but with a change of ownership in the south of France currently underway, there have been some delays on the transfer front.

This isn’t the first time the Hornets have been labeled the favourites to sign the 22-year-old, as our last article on the matter suggested Javi Gracia’s side were ‘pushing Everton and Newcastle aside’ in the race.

It’s said Saint-Maximin is ‘looking towards the Premier League’ for next season, hinting that’s the move he’s looking for, and now we just have to wait and see who comes knocking once the takeover is complete.

Everything points towards it being the Hornets for now, and that’s who Nice-Matin are suggesting have the upper hand, at least over Crystal Palace and Steve Bruce’s new club.
