Manchester City striker Erling Haaland and his father are considering an investment in a club in Marbella, where they spend a lot of time.
That’s according to Estadio Deportivo, who say the duo are considering investing in Marbella FC after their recent promotion to the third category of Spanish football.
The Spanish side secured their second straight promotion with a win over Logroñés, a success which may have consequences beyond what division they play in next season.
The success is seen as ‘consecrating a project’ that has high hopes and expectations around it, including the building of a new stadium and hopes to be a sub-host for the 2030 World Cup.
That could see big investors brought in to help matters and the Haaland family are considering putting their money in.
The Manchester City striker has spoken about his love for the area on numerous occasions, as well as posting a video of him playing football on the beach with children on social media a few summers ago.
Haaland and his family are heavily involved in the city and are considering taking that a step further and becoming shareholders in the club.
That would see them unite with Manchester United midfielder Casemiro, who was recently announced as a new investor.
The Haaland’s are yet to go that far but are reportedly considering doing so as they look to integrate themselves into the Marbella life even further.
