Earlier today, we covered claims from Spain that Juma Bah has informed Real Valladolid he will pay his €6m termination clause to join Manchester City.
The defender is set to complete a move to the Premier League side in the winter market.
That’s according to Africa Foot, who have been covering the Citizens’ interest in the 18-year-old over the past few weeks.
On January 2nd, the defender’s entourage told the same outlet about Manchester City’s approach.
Bah is represented by Global Soccer Management and sources from the agency have now told Africa Foot that Manchester City have ‘finalised an agreement’ to sign him. The source also states he has agreed a long-term contract with the English champions.
The centre-back arrived at the La Liga side on a loan deal from AIK Freetong last summer. The report states Pep Guardiola’s side will pay around €13m to Real Valladolid and Sierra Leone based club.
“Manchester City’s interest in Bah is not new, as I already mentioned to you a few weeks ago. Inter Milan and Barcelona were also interested, but Barcelona’s offer was never formal. So, we had to think about what would be best for Bah,” a source told Africa Foot.
“Yes, there is now an agreement with Manchester City, with a six-year contract and an amount of around €13m which will be paid to Real Valladolid and his training club AIK Freetong.”
Manchester City have completed the signings of two centre-backs, Abdukodir Khusano and Vitor Reis, in this window. Africa Foot state Guardiola’s side will send Bah on loan to RC Lens, after completing his signing.
