As soon as Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani published his latest post on Instagram, the Argentine media started writing stories about it.

The 34-year-old posted a picture of him celebrating a goal for the Red Devils, and in Spanish, had a caption saying ‘all I know is I’ll give the maximum’.

Well, that was enough for many South American outlets to cover it.

Olé is one of them, with a headline about Cavani’s ‘enigmatic message’ and pointing out he’s wanted by Boca Juniors.

The website says they learned a few days ago that the Buenos Aires club offered the striker a three-year contract, with a total salary of around what he makes in only one season in England.

Since Cavani previously made a promise he’d join Boca Juniors in case he returns to South America, there are big hopes he’ll move to Argentina once his contract with Manchester United expires in the summer.

Even though the La Bombonera side have already played two matches in Copa Libertadores, they’ve been keeping the shirts number 7 and 9 free for the striker in case he joins them in time for the knock-out stage.

Still, Olé describes Cavani’s post on Instagram as ‘confusing’.
