Leicester City are trying to sign Atalanta’s Jérémie Boga before the transfer window closes on Thursday.

That’s according to Gianluca Di Marzio, who states the Foxes have ‘contacted’ the Serie A side to take the forward.

Leicester are looking for an attacker in the last two days of the market and have shifted their focus to the 25-year-old, who joined La Dea from Sassuolo at the start of this year.

After spending eight months with the Italian club, it may already be time for him to say goodbye to them. The former Chelsea man has the opportunity to return to the Premier League if his current employer were to give approval to his sale to Brendan Rodgers’ side.

The report explains that ‘England calls him’ and only time will tell whether the Ivory Coast international will answer that call and join Leicester.

It’s claimed Atalanta’s official response to the Foxes’ first request is ‘still awaited’. If Boga and Gian Piero Gasperini’s side give their approval, then the attacker could move to the King Power Stadium.
