Despite having Lucas Digne and Álex Moreno at the left-back position at Aston Villa, Unai Emery is reportedly looking to improve that area of the pitch in the next transfer window.
That’s according to Takvim in Turkey, who have an article about the Villans’ interest in Ferdi Kadioglu, currently starring for Fenerbahce.
The 24-year-old’s performances this season have seen him attract interest from big clubs around Europe, with Aston Villa the latest to join the race.
It’s said the Premier League side ‘took action’ and Unai Emery has put the player ‘at the top of his transfer list’ ahead of the summer transfer window.
With all the interest in their star, the Süper Lig side are said to be ‘expecting’ €30m from any transfer of the left-back, as their president recently admitted the defender would be most likely heading through the exit door once the campaign comes to an end.
Kadioglu has been nearly ever-present for Fenerbahce this season, making 41 appearances in all competitions for the club, as well as picking up three goals and four assists.
The Aston Villa target also has 15 caps for Turkey despite being born in the Netherlands and coming up through the Dutch national team, representing them up until U21 level.
