Following João Félix’s departure from Chelsea, there are now many options to where the Atletico Madrid star could be heading this summer.
We today get to see Aston Villa included in that list, as Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo writes about the 23-year-old’s future.
It’s claimed that despite Félix’s return to Atletico Madrid, both the club and his agents want him gone before the 7th of July, when the pre-season starts.
The manager previously admitted that they tried the signing in January, and even though they didn’t get to a deal with Atletico Madrid, it’s said the situation ‘has now changed’.
Mundo Deportivo writes that the Colchoneros could look for a loan with a coach who really wants Félix and believes in him. That would give the player a boost in the Premier League and bring his market value up.
That indeed seems like a more positive scenario for Aston Villa, and we’ll see if they’ll make a move for the Portuguese star.
