In a Champions League group which includes Manchester United and Bayern Munich, Galatasaray were supposed to have their easiest challenge when facing Copenhagen at home last night.
The Turkish side ended up surprised by the Danish club, who opened a 2-0 lead, with the match finishing 2-2.
Many Galatasaray players were heavily criticised after the match. One of them was Tottenham Hotspur loanee Tanguy Ndombele, who was slammed by Sky Spor’s Batuhan Karadeniz, relayed by Super Haber.
The pundit made it clear that Ndombele isn’t fit enough to help Galatasaray, and wondered how the player has been treating himself to be in shape to play football.
“Ndombele was more ready when he came on last game, but I saw him in yesterday’s game and he was in worse condition. What did you do, brother? Did you eat Istanbul? You will get a nutritionist and get a scale to check your condition. Is this how you play football?,” said Karadeniz.
Since joining Galatasaray on a loan from Tottenham this summer, Ndombele has only made two appearances. He first had 15 minutes in a league match against Samsunspor, and then 14 other in this match against Copenhagen.
The midfielder is loaned to the Turkish side until the end of the season. His future depends on their buying option over him, otherwise he continues to have a contract with Tottenham which runs until 2025.
