Striker Deniz Undav is set to leave Brighton and Hove Albion this summer, with VfB Stuttgart winning the race for his signature.
That’s according to Kicker, who say the German side have done ‘decisive things’ to secure the striker.
The newspaper reports that, according to their information, the Swabians are ‘about to sign’ the Brighton striker on loan for the season.
The striker will soon join the German side for a fee of around €700,000, with VfB also securing a purchase option in the deal.
Undav is keen to move on from Brighton after a disappointing season with the club last year, despite a strong end to the season with five goals in eight appearances.
He’s commented on his openness to a move in the past and is now getting it with Stuttgart, where he hopes to be a regular and potentially secure a place in the Germany squad ahead of Euro 2024.
It seems he didn’t believe he would be a regular at Brighton next season, so is returning to Germany on a temporary basis instead.
