The Italian media has been creating big expectations around the future of Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi, who should change clubs this summer.
In the past few weeks, the links with Brighton & Hove Albion intensified, with several reports claiming the Seagulls should make an effort to sign him.
And it turns out that according to TuttoMercatoWeb today, an offer from the Premier League has finally arrived.
The problem is that the website doesn’t say who placed that offer, as they don’t name Brighton or any other club.
It’s just said that a bid worth €40m was made, and that actually may not work out, because Frattesi would prefer to stay in Italy.
Since Serie A clubs are still to put their offers on the table, it’s hard to know whether they’d manage to outbid the unnamed Premier League side.
Among the many stories linking Brighton lately, some said €40m was exactly how much the Seagulls would need to take him from Sassuolo. So we should now wait and see who placed the bid and if Frattesi would accept the move.
