In the summer transfer window, Taty Castellanos was linked with a host of Premier League clubs. Now, West Ham it’s reported West Ham have a chance of signing him in January.
So far this season, the Argentine has two goals and three assists in Serie A. In what has been a mixed start to the season for Lazio, he’s shined. Due to the Rome club’s dire financial issues, he could be sold in January.
La Repubblica, relayed by LaLazioSiamoNoi, take a closer look at the 27-year-old.
They indicate that West Ham are interested in the striker, with Castellanos the most sought-after Lazio player right now. They see his sale as a way to satisfy manager Maurizio Sarri’s wishes.
The Italian wants to reunite with Lorenzo Insigne and also wants another striker in the squad. To finance Lazio’s January market, Taty can be sold for €35m.
Whether the player would want a move to London isn’t known, but the Hammers could do with another striker, considering Niclas Fullkrug’s struggles.
Castellanos is younger and offers better ability in possession than the German.
