On Tuesday morning, Italian outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport featured a story claiming Inter Milan are interested in Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister.
In that article, it was claimed the Seagulls asking price for the player is o€30m, and that was ‘very high’ for the Nerazzurri.
Well, it turns out that as Inter Milan’s chase for the Brighton star continues to be reported by the Italian media, it’s now claimed that he should cost even more.
It’s CalcioMercato.it who now features a story about Mac Allister, and they claim that the player’s performance at the World Cup has now ‘increased’ the price for his transfer. That’s now believed to be between €35m and €40m.
The report highlights that the Argentine is protected with a ‘long’ contract until 2025, saying the Premier League is an ‘expensive shop’. That should all make it more difficult for Inter Milan to make this ‘important investment’.
So in case Brighton fans are worried about Mac Allister’s performances at the World Cup opening the door for his exit, it doesn’t seem like it’s the Nerazzurri who’ll take him away from the club.
