Atlético Madrid will rival Inter Milan in the race to sign Tottenham Hotspur‘s Cristian Romero this summer.
Last summer, Spurs rejected the La Liga side’s attempts and offered a new contract to the centre-back. A year later, he wants to leave Tottenham.
The Serie A winners have been working on signing him over the past few weeks and have made concrete progress.
Earlier today, Sport Witness covered claims from Italy that Inter Milan have agreed a €40m deal with Roberto De Zerbi’s side.
Inter have also agreed a five-year contract, worth €5.5m per year, with the player, and Benjamin Pavard’s exit is blocking this operation.
