There’s a claim in the Italian media that Southampton and Wolverhampton wanderers are showing interest in Lazio goalkeeper Christos Mandas.
Both Premier Leage side will be looking to bolster their squads this summer and the Greek player looks to be an option for depth, although at a price.
Corriere dello Sport today report Southampton and Wolves could table €20m offers for Mandras. It’s claimed the two English sides are being pushed towards the Lazio man and that they are both in the market for a goalkeeper.
According to the Italian newspaper, Southampton could offer Carlos Alcarez as part of a deal following reports Lazio are interested in the Argentine.
Jorge Mendes’ relations with Lazio could also be an advantage for Wolves as the Portuguese could broker a deal between the two clubs.
The 22-year-old made just 12 appearances for Lazio last season and is contracted to the club until June 2028. Mandras only signed for the Rome club last summer for an undisclosed fee.
