Bryan Gil has had to settle for a limited role ever since he joined Tottenham Hotspur from in 2021.
Fiorentina, Real Sociedad, Feyenoord and Brighton & Hove Albion had all showed interest in the winger in the winter market but he wasn’t keen on leaving Tottenham.
That’s according to Estadio Deportivo, who state the 23-year-old turned down offers from these clubs in order to continue at Spurs.
The Spain international was hoping to improve his decision at the north London club but his decision hasn’t paid off. It’s claimed Ange Postecoglou has made it clear to Gil that he’s not counting on him.
Gil has clocked in 221 minutes from 11 games this season and hasn’t featured since he came off the bench against Everton on February 3rd.
His situation has ‘gotten worse’ in recent weeks and the player’s idea is to leave Spurs in the summer. The report says Gil dreams of returning to Sevilla.
Apart from the Spaniard, Giovani Lo Celso’s future at Tottenham is also up in the air. The Argentina international has two goals and two assists from 15 games as he’s struggled with injuries this season.
That’s why Estadio state the 27-year-old midfielder’s future is also uncertain, especially considering that his deal lasts until 2025, suggesting that both could be looking for new clubs in the summer.
