Manchester United ‘dream’ of signing OGC Nice star Jean-Clair Todibo, according to Foot Mercato.
The Ligue 1 side’s idea was to cash in from the centre-back’s sale next summer but his fine displays this season have seen him draw the attention from several clubs for January.
Manchester United have been following the 24-year-old for several months and continue to send their scouts to closely watch him live in action for Nice.
It’s claimed Manchester United have ‘not said their last word’ on a potential deal for the France international. Nice are owned by INEOS and their chairman, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, has reached an agreement with the Red Devils to acquire more than 25% of the club’s shares.
This would make Todibo’s potential move to Manchester United ‘something logical and coherent’ for INEOS, but likely for next summer.
Foot Mercato claim it’s difficult to say what will happen with Todibo this month and until there is something concrete, him staying where he is until the summer looks likely.
